The members of the Cascade Winds Symphonic Band Association feel that it is important that music is accessible to all, therefore our performances are free and open to all listeners. However, we still have production costs associated with our concerts.  As a result we rely on individual donations, as well as fees from the musicians themselves and corporate sponsors, to support our operations. Our primary expenses are comprised of venue rental, music purchase and equipment rental. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations go towards our direct operating expenses. No funding goes toward the administration of the band, which is fully supported by volunteers from within the group and the Central Oregon community.

Operations of the Cascade Winds

We are a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status and rely on corporate and individual donations, as well as fees from performing musicians, to support our operations. Our primary expenses are comprised of venue rental, conductor stipends, sheet music purchase and equipment rental. All donations go towards our direct operating expenses. No funding goes towards the administration of the group, which is fully supported by volunteers from within the group and the Central Oregon community.

Currently, our individual and corporate donations do not fully cover our operating expenses, so our performing members pay over $200 each to perform during the season. Our funding goal is to obtain sufficient annual donations so that our musicians can continue to donate their time and perform for the community, but without personal cost to them.

Our other funding goal is a new capital campaign to raise $12,000 by September 2009 for the purchase of performance chairs. In order to maximize the value of this capital campaign, the Cascade Winds will share these performance chairs with the musical groups of Summit High School. In return, Summit High School will provide the Cascade Winds free venue rental at the school over course of the next 10 years. This creative arrangement will provide key functional equipment for the group while significantly reducing our operating expenses over a 10-year period.

2007-2008 Corporate Sponsorship Program

Corporate sponsorships will have a significant impact upon the Cascade Winds reaching our funding goals. Your consideration of a corporate sponsorship is very valuable to us and much appreciated. All contributions are tax deductible.

• $250 - Solo Sponsor - Fully supports out of pocket fees currently paid by a single musician for a full season.
  
• $500 - Duet Sponsor - Fully supports out of pocket fees currently paid by a pair of musicians for a full season.
• $1,000 - Quartet Sponsor - Fully supports out of pocket fees currently paid by four musicians for a full season.
• $2,000 - Section Sponsor - Fully supports out of pocket fees currently paid by one of the larger instrumental sections of the band for a full season. If you'd like, sponsor a specific instrumental section, such as the flute section or trumpet section!

All corporate sponsors will be listed in our programs and mentioned prior to every performance for the season. In addition, if your organization would benefit from other forms of recognition in conjunction with a donation, we would be happy to strive to meet your organization's specific goals.
