Music Galore this Weekend!

If you haven't had a chance to see THE BARBER OF SEVILLE,
presented by the Obsidian Opera Company at the Tower, make sure you grab some
fast selling tickets for either this Friday evening (7:30 p.m.) or Saturday
afternoon (2:00 p.m.)because those are the last two shows. The singing is
wonderful, the acting is great, the music fabulous and it's in English!! Seeing,
and hearing, Clyde Thompson as the evil Don Basilio is worth the price of
admission in itself. [Call the Tower Theatre for tickets]
Saturday evening, the YOUTH CHOIR OF CENTRAL OREGON has
their concert at the Church of the Nazarene on 27th Street, just south of Neff,
7:00 p.m. [Tickets are $7, call 385-0470]
And finally, for those of you looking for an alternative
to the Super Bowl: This Sunday, February 3, GREAT CHORAL
WORKS SERIES 2008 presents Jim Knox in the first of two discussions on Mozart
and his Requiem which the Cascade Chorale, College Choir and Mastersingers will
be performing in March. Free and open to all, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Bend
Senior Center, appetizers and beverages will be served. [The second program in
