Call For Musicians

While the Cascade Winds is always looking for more musicians, we're not the only ones.

Jim Knox is looking for some instrumentalists to be part of the chorale's Holiday Magic concerts in December. Below is a list of those instruments he needs as well as the projected rehearsal schedule. Rehearsal with choir in Pinckney at 7pm: Tuesday, December 5

Final Rehearsal at Tower Theatre at 7pm: Thursday, December 7

Concerts at Tower Theatre: Friday, December 8 & Saturday, December 9 at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 10 at 3pm

2 – 3 other rehearsals with orchestra only will be scheduled once players are in place, most likely on the last week of October and 2nd, 3rd or 4th week of November.

Jim has already filled some of the positions, but please do let Jim know if you are interested. It will be a wonderful event.

Here's what's needed:
3 Flutes total/ 2 needed
1 piccolo
2 oboes
English horn
2 clarinets (Bb)
Bass Clarinet
2 bassoons total/ 1 needed
Contra bassoon
4 horns in F total/ 2 needed
3 trumpets in Bb/2 needed
3 trombones
Tuba
3 percussion players total/ 2 needed
Timpani
Harp
And lots of lots of strings...some filled already, but a total of 20-25 would be nice!
